Composers submitting works must be members in good standing of the Society of Composers, Inc. or the Long Island Composers Alliance. Priority will be given to members of SCI Region 2 (New York, New Jersey and Puerto Rico), but works by composers from other regions will be considered. Works by student composers will also be considered.

Proposals for scholarly research and technical papers, panel discussions, and technical demonstrations of interest to composers will also be considered.

Each composer may submit up to two works for consideration. Send scores only. If you wish to have them returned, you must provide a self-addressed, stamped envelope, or you may pick them up at the conference.

Works to be performed will be selected by July, 2007, and performance materials must be received by September 1, 2007. Performance materials must be supplied by the composers. Standard royalties will be paid for the performances, but music purchases and rental costs cannot be provided by the sponsor.

There is no submission fee, but a conference registration fee of approximately $50 will be charged. Composers selected will be expected to attend.

Works will be played by student performers. If professional soloists or performers are desired by the composers, they will be responsible for any fees.

A program of six to eight concerts is planned.
